$320 cost to me due to driver losing my key
|
I'm waiting to see how Mercury handles the insurance problem - and $320 cost to me - that resulted from the driver of the truck losing the key to my car, the key to his own truck, and the keys of other cars loaded on the truck with mine. I don't have access to the trucker insurance so it rests with Mercury to take the next step. I've given them copies of the receipts via email. Mercury is very service oriented so I am anticipating there will be a quick resolution of the cost to me via the carrier's insurance. I can't give a positive rating until this has occurred because I expected a clean delivery, meaning an undamaged car and my key returned to me.
The car arrived on time and undamaged. The driver kept in contact with me as did Mercury.
But the delays of several days while I ordered, purchased, and then had reprogrammed a new electronic key have been a hassle and costly.
Mercury didn't lose the key but I am looking for a repayment of my cost resulting from the driver's failure to keep my key secure or return it to me.
