I was very recently (November 2011) in a wedding in the Redlands area and my good friend, the bride, hired Gloria to make our bridesmaid dresses. The experience was awful!! I lived across the country so I contacted Gloria to give her my measurements sometime during the summer. I initially gave her the length to accommodate wearing 3.5 inch heels, which I later changed my mind to wear 1 inch but did not tell Gloria (because I am very tall so I thought it might be safer). I arrived for the Sunday wedding on Thursday and we went straight to Gloria's boutique, which had recently been moved. I tried my dress on last and I knew as soon as she handed it to me on the hanger that it was too short. I went in to try it on anyways but the sides of the bodice did not meet in the back. My first thought was that, hey maybe the dresses had been mixed up, however, Gloria for some reason took offense to this. She said "why would we switch the dresses?" like I had accused her of doing it to be malicious. Next she accused me of sending her the incorrect measurements, and took a tape measure to measure ME (not the dress I tried on) to prove it. The dress was at least 5 inches too short for 3.5 inch heels. As long as the bride wasn't in the room she was defensive and extremely rude to me. Eventually we left with the idea that she would "fix it"--while this review is mainly about my own experience, none of the other bridesmaid dresses fit either. The next day after picking up the other bridesmaids we returned to Gloria's boutique. She had whipped up another dress for me only it STILL did not fit!! There was not enough fabric to put in a zipper and the hemline was again, too short to hem (and a lot too). Now this was one day before the wedding. She was also rude to me again. We left with the intentions to hear back from Gloria when the dresses were finished the next day--which was projected around 4 PM. The wedding was Sunday at 10 AM. We did not hear from Gloria until I called her at 6 PM. She was not ready. Finally we called her around 715 and she was close enough that we left though all of the bridesmaids missed the rehearsal dinner because we were running down to the boutique. We all had to try the dresses on because we were nervous that they might not fit. Miraculously we all had something to wear--I say it like that because there were so many dress fitting issues but at least none of us were naked. The end result of my dress was that it is HUGE. I could probably fit a shoe inside the bodice of my dress. Problems with other dresses included the zipper on one dress popping an hour before the wedding, bubbling along where the zippers were put in (on two different dresses) etc. etc. I would wear a potato sack for my friend and I wore this dress despite the fit issues though when all is said and done I paid almost $200 for a dress that does not fit with no possibility of getting it fixed since I live in Florida and she was extremely unprofessional and rude to the point of being mean on top of it.
