I decided to purchase laminate flooring from Simple Floors. This process began on 8/27 and my order was placed. I recieved a call from the rep advising that they would send the laminate from a "sister plant" in Georgia but that it was the exact same flooring. I advised the rep that I did not trust this as the name was completely different than what I was ordering. He advised he would send a sample. Sample was not even close the the style wanted.At this point, I was advised my order would be in in a few weeks. After going back and forth, on 9/24 I was advised that the order had left China and was due in 3-4 weeks. On 9/26 I placed my order and paid over $3200. This order was confirmed on 10/1. On 10/7, I was told by Julie Happel that the original order of 95 cartons was not available and that there was only 90. I spole with my contractor and he advised that we could probably make this work with the reduced amount. I emailed Julie and told her that we were a go and that I wanted a confirmation that my 90 cartons was held. I was told via email on the 9th of October that not only was my order held but that the shipping was going to be over $150 less due to the reduced amount. On October 10, I recieved an email from Julie stating that there were no more cartons available and that a "computer error" had occurred. Simply put, I was advised that there were too many order sin before me despite the fact that I had been told that I was "god to go" by two different reps, one of whom quit and seemed to be getting all the blame. I called and asked to speak to a manager and got Lee, who told me he would call me back at a specific time. After that time came and went, I called back and got Lee. He advised me that he had no authority to do anything and I would need to talk to "upper management". I asked who that was and was told Molly. I asked to speak to her and was told she was on another line but that she would call me back within 20 minutes (Lee's words). 40 minutes later, I called and asked for Molly and after being put on hold for 10 minuets, I got to her. She advised me that there was nothing to be done about it, she simply had no laminate to give me, and that it was simply gone. I asked her why they had oversold it and she refused to admit to that despite the fact that my order was lost. She further refused to try to make my order whole and instead offered me a substitute flooring of which was not the same brand or quality. After confirming that she was bnot going to do anything, she advised I could just cancel. I advised that was what I wanted to do. She advised that it would take 3-5 business days to get my money back. I remarked that it was funny that they were able to hit my credit card imediately but it would take 5 days to get mine back to me. She advised it would be no more than 5 days. I feel that Simple Floors is a company that is unable to fulfill the orders they tale and they oversold my order after they had my money. The reps are told to say to cutomers that they are good to go when in reality, they have no basis for their statements. This company is NOT one to do business with and I would not recommend it.
